Asset class
Section titled “Asset class”CIS’s page on its guide to the asset classes says that CIS restructured the asset classes and their definitions in Version 8.1.1 The guide names six classes: Devices, Software, Data, Users, Network and Documentation. It divides each into subclasses and gives each Safeguard one class.2 The schema renders the classes as CisAssetClass, with upper-case values such as DEVICES and CIS’s spelling as each value’s title. A Safeguard names its class in safeguard_asset_class. The schema leaves the subclasses out.3
